Bieber Fever!

Kylee Madison has a big case of Bieber Fever!
She was surprised on Christmas Morning with tickets to Charlotte concert.
She was so excited, she had to wait a whole 26 days till the concert...I bought the tickets in June so I kept a secret from her for a LONG time a whole 6 months.

Tuesday January 22nd was finally here.. she had the outfit picked out for days so she packed it into a bag and headed to school, I was hoping she would have a good day and not get into trouble being overly excited.
I left work a little early and we got ready to go. Her cousin Madison had just turned 16 and got tickets for her Birthday so we were had her and her sweet friend Mac ride with us to ride with us. All girls in the car looking oh so cute we listened to JB music and headed towards uptown.
I managed to get them to stop and eat @ Brixx uptown where we could see the madness. Thankfully dinner lasted about 25 minutes from start to finish and these girls were running down the street.
Once we entered the arena Kylee was in Awe.
We found our seats and they were great!! (Thanks to me) No floor seats but lower level 5th row up. Not to shabby she was so excited that she could see and that we weren't way up there..In the nose bleeds.

The count down has started 1minunte, and things got loud by 20 seconds it was so loud the floors were shaking! This face eventually became a screaming girl!

Right before the lights went out..By the way how cute is she???

This was so cool, there were light shows, fireworks and even a flying Justin Bieber

We had the best time together.
She jumped up and down with her hands up, of course she made friends with the girls around us and we had a blast dancing and singing the words.
As we walked out of the arena she was holding my hand she looked over and said "This was the best night EVER"!! And I agree it was one of our best mother daughter nights so far.
I cant wait to see what we can come up with in the future!
Love my Girl!

Busy Busy

We are making some great strides as a family so far in 2013 which makes me happy.
Our current project's include
  • Kylee has been working on a Leif Erickson project for school; 2-3 page paper, power point slide, and a presentation= Mama is OVER IT!!!
  • Caleb is learning about the human body in science; this worries me some, he has been the 'butt' of the jokes lately. Sweet and Funny boy he is.
  • I am in the process of purging my house; I cannot STAND clutter and its got to GO!
  • Starting with closets we have like 7 in our house and they are all getting purged this weekend with a donate pile, trash pile and a keep pile.
  • The kitchen needs organized in the worst way, I have really enjoyed cooking since I found www.pinterest.com and all these great recipes. But all my new gadgets have my cabinets over flowing and when you open the door stuff falls out= No Good!
  • We are back in the full swing of sports since a nice 2 week holiday break :) It was nice!
  • Kylee is mastering her back handspring... So proud of her.
  • They are both playing basketball, Caleb's team needs to communicate more but they are pretty good; tall kids and lots of expensive socks and bright colored shoes!
  • Kylee's team ranges in age 6-8 year old girls and one word sums it up perfectly...Aggressive! They are so fun to watch, the steal and shoot the ball its a very energetic 60 minutes every Saturday morning.
  • Caleb and I did something special this week and I think we found something we will do often together. His teacher invited us to go uptown and minister and feed the homeless together. We had a great time and were both truly blessed. He wants to do more in this ministry it made my heart happy to see him out there helping others. He even made a new friend that he had been praying for in school. He learned some hard lessons that night and I think he is more appreciative of the smaller things in life that he may take for granted. This is a small group of people that make meals, and gets donations of clothes, socks, hats, blankets, jackets etc and hits the streets of Charlotte to minister and just hang out. We have decided to collect and donate more items and spend at least one Tuesday a month helping out as well. It was a blessing in more than one way and I am excited to see the growth in Caleb as he starts this journey of giving.

Hope everyone has a great week!
Next blog is about the blessings jar...Be curious.

Its a New Year!

What a fun year 2012 was.. well I can sum it up with a word EXHAUSTING!!
That is my 'Yearly word to live by.' Its a word that runs through my head often. The schedule we maintain can sound crazy at times; but its what makes it our life. Sometimes I complain but at the end of the day I wouldn't trade it for the world. Most of my friends have little kids and love being a stay at home Mom's I knew that was never in the cards for me and quite frankly I am not sure I could have done it anyway. However being a Working Mom hasn't stopped me from Volunteering at school or sports, being a Room Mom (Twice) running two kids to their sports, making dinners (or buying them) cleaning the house and doing Laundry.
I may not have a perfectly clean house like my Mom and the laundry may sit in the dryer for days, there may be dirty dishes and toilets that need cleaned but honestly I don't care because at the end of the day I am busy raising kids, kids that need me and want to be with me and Love that I am their biggest fan on the side line of any sporting event. My kids are growing up so FAST too fast some days and I look at them and realize here soon they wont need me as much, it will all change no matter how hard I pray that it wont, they will have friends and social calendars and high school... UGH!  Then I can clean toilets and fold laundry and have a clean house for when they are home. I hope to keep my home open to their friends I hope to be that Mom they want to be with even with they get older. So for now all of the other stuff can wait, and I am going to try to embrace the moments I have left and make as many memories as I can with them.
I also want to work in a little time for me each week, with the kids getting older and their schedules as crazy as ever I can make excuses not to go to the gym or get my nails done or just read a book. This year I am going to make time for me I want to learn to knit and sew and get creative again, I figure I can share these experiences with my kids too, maybe an ugly sweater or a cute scarf. I am excited to see what this year brings for us, I may say 'No' to somethings if my plate is too full, but who am I kidding if someone needs the help and I am able to do it I most likely will add it to the never ending to do list. There is still so much I want to do and accomplish in this life that I can sit at home and do nothing when I get OLD!
The last item on the list is the nagging voices of certain people telling me date again, I am ready to get my feet wet but honestly online dating is creepy and you see the same guys on there that you would see in a bar on a Friday night the Lake Norman area, I am over the bar scene and meeting someone in the grocery store line only happens in the movies. Soooo when Mr. Right comes around I will let you know, I have settled for putting myself out there some, I would be open to a few blind dates or girls nights out and other than than that I am just going to live my life. I have over come heart break and lies and deceit I can wait around for Mr Right a little longer. I have grown so much this last year and come to the conclusion that a Man wont make me happy I had to make myself happy first. And I think I am headed in the right direction. Waiting to see what the future holds for me.
Here is to 2013! Blessings to you and your families.
