We are making some great strides as a family so far in 2013 which makes me happy.
Our current project's include
- Kylee has been working on a Leif Erickson project for school; 2-3 page paper, power point slide, and a presentation= Mama is OVER IT!!!
- Caleb is learning about the human body in science; this worries me some, he has been the 'butt' of the jokes lately. Sweet and Funny boy he is.
- I am in the process of purging my house; I cannot STAND clutter and its got to GO!
- Starting with closets we have like 7 in our house and they are all getting purged this weekend with a donate pile, trash pile and a keep pile.
- The kitchen needs organized in the worst way, I have really enjoyed cooking since I found www.pinterest.com and all these great recipes. But all my new gadgets have my cabinets over flowing and when you open the door stuff falls out= No Good!
- We are back in the full swing of sports since a nice 2 week holiday break :) It was nice!
- Kylee is mastering her back handspring... So proud of her.
- They are both playing basketball, Caleb's team needs to communicate more but they are pretty good; tall kids and lots of expensive socks and bright colored shoes!
- Kylee's team ranges in age 6-8 year old girls and one word sums it up perfectly...Aggressive! They are so fun to watch, the steal and shoot the ball its a very energetic 60 minutes every Saturday morning.
- Caleb and I did something special this week and I think we found something we will do often together. His teacher invited us to go uptown and minister and feed the homeless together. We had a great time and were both truly blessed. He wants to do more in this ministry it made my heart happy to see him out there helping others. He even made a new friend that he had been praying for in school. He learned some hard lessons that night and I think he is more appreciative of the smaller things in life that he may take for granted. This is a small group of people that make meals, and gets donations of clothes, socks, hats, blankets, jackets etc and hits the streets of Charlotte to minister and just hang out. We have decided to collect and donate more items and spend at least one Tuesday a month helping out as well. It was a blessing in more than one way and I am excited to see the growth in Caleb as he starts this journey of giving.
Hope everyone has a great week!
Next blog is about the blessings jar...Be curious.
